Job Overview
Licensed professional engineer serves the public welfare by managing complex public infrastructure capital improvement projects, from conceptual through construction to closeout after Board delivery; including small to large sized water, wastewater, and reclaimed water projects crossing multiple engineering disciplines. Completes other tasks and responsibilities consistent with the ethics and tenets of engineering. Exercises independent judgment.

Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for Professional Engineer with substantial experience in Project Management. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in managing multiple major inter-connected projects, the development and control of scopes of work, schedules, and budgets, and the application of risk assessment and resource management. Experience with coordinating utility relocation with outside Utility Agency Owner's as it relates to utility conflicts. Well versed in alternate delivery methods for capital projects such as Progressive Design-Build, and Fixed Price Design-Build. Must be able to build relationships and manage multiple contracts between engineers and contractors and professionally interact with all stakeholders. The goal is to ensure that projects within the Water Resources Department are deliver to the desirable outcome of our organization. A Master's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Four (4) years of experience in project management while an Engineering Intern certified in the state of Florida
  • Registration in the state of Florida as a Professional Engineer (active status) in the applicable discipline

Salary Range: $34.42 - 56.79 Hourly
