Tesla to Add Charging Stations in Grinnell

The city of Grinnell is excited to announce a building permit has been issued to Kum & Go at 715 Lang Creek Avenue for an addition to their property. The addition will include eight Tesla electric vehicle charging stations that will be located at the southwest corner of the site, currently where parking spaces are already provided.

Grinnell was chosen as a site by Tesla to give commuters traveling Interstate 80 an additional option to charge up. The Grinnell Tesla charging station will be the only Tesla charging station between Iowa City and Altoona.

The project will include electrical equipment and signage installed similar to the photo below and is to begin in February. The projected is intended to be completed this spring.
