Casebolt receives 2024 OSU-Tulsa President's Outstanding Teaching Award

Dr. Mallory Casebolt, associate professor and Hardesty Endowed Chair in Aviation Sciences in the College of Education and Human Sciences, received the Oklahoma State University-Tulsa President's Outstanding Teaching Award at the OSU-Tulsa commencement ceremony on May 13.
This award, one of the highest faculty honors awarded by OSU-Tulsa, is based on student nominations and feedback.
Dr. Mallory Casebolt, associate professor and Hardesty Endowed Chair in Aviation Sciences in the College of Education and Human Sciences.Casebolt has been a vital part of OSU's aviation and space program for a decade, transitioning from a student to faculty and OSU-Tulsa's program coordinator. She was instrumental in implementing hybrid classes in the aerospace administration and operations program, leading to increased enrollment and offering a more flexible option for working students. Casebolt also has a passion for bringing more women into aviation and is a key coordinator of the annual "Girls in Aviation Day," where students can learn about the aviation industry up close.
During her tenure, Casebolt has taught 95 academic courses, resulting in 759 total student enrollments at both graduate and undergraduate levels, achieving an impressive overall instructor evaluation score of 4.7 out of 5. In the 2023-24 academic year alone, she taught 11 different courses with a total enrollment of 157 students.
Student feedback from these classes includes comments such as, "Dr. Casebolt is amazing. She is one of the biggest assets the OSU-Tulsa campus has," and "This class has been instrumental in changing my approach and focus on day-to-day airline operations. I have been inspired to observe not only the behavior and choices of others, but my own as well."
Casebolt's peers describe her as an exceptional faculty member with a strong work ethic, superb communication skills and a heart for serving others. Her passion for aviation has inspired her students for years, motivating them through both her lessons and her character.
