BREMBO BRAKES FEATURED ON MUSTANG MACH-E GT AND GT PERFORMANCE EDITION

The Brembo compact Flexira® caliper is a four-piston caliper with 44 mm diameter pistons paired with Brembo 385-millimeter ventilated rotors. The Brembo supplied brake pads meet the 2021 and future 2025 California and Washington regulations prohibiting the use of copper in brake pads and have a 78 cm2 surface. The aluminum Flexira® caliper is manufactured using Brembo's gravity cast technology. Once the aluminum 'shell' is cast, steel inserts or 'sleeves' are added which increase the mechanical strength of the overall component and reduce the axial bulk of the caliper. These cylindrical inserts can be seen on the front surface of the calipers where the logo is applied.

The Brembo and Ford relationship dates back to the 1996 when Brembo supplied the front brake discs for the Mustang Cobra. Fast forward to 2000 when Brembo calipers and discs adorned the Mustang Cobra R. Currently Brembo brakes stop the Mustang Mach 1, Shelby GT and Shelby GT500. Brembo carbon brakes are on the Ford GT and Mk II super car and its race bred brethren the Le Mans winning Ford GT race cars that posted 19 wins and 23 pole positions.
