Copper Valley Telecom Cooperative

Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southcentral Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:
APPLICANT: Copper Valley Telecom Cooperative (CVTC)
PROJECT NAME: ADL 234323
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Tolsona, AK
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Section 30, Township 4 North, Range 4 West, Copper River Meridian, and Section 24, Township 4 North, Range 5 West, Copper River Meridian.
REQUESTED ACTIVITY: CVTC is requesting to develop an existing utility easement, serialized as ADL 229765, to facilitate the placement of approximately 1,143 feet of fiber optic cable. CVTC proposes to trench the cable at a depth of 42 inches using a cable plow to provide improved communication in bandwidth and speeds to the surrounding community.
This request is associated with a series of related applications for installation of fiber optic cable in the vicinity of Tolsona Lake, including ADL 229817, ADL 234296, and ADL 234297. Additional information for this request may be found on the State of Alaska Online Public Notice website under ADL 234323. The development, if approved, may differ from that described herein.
DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: On or before Monday, May 20, 2024
The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Southcentral Regional Land Office, 550 West 7th Avenue, Suite 900C, Anchorage, AK 99501, on or before the date noted above.
