More Interceptors to be placed on Hrazdan River to prevent pollution of Yerevan Lake

Complex improvement of Abovyan square is going on within the frames of annual program. External lighting and irrigation network are going to be modernized, benches, bins installed and new greening solutions to be applied. During the regular working meeting it was reported that comfortable conditions will be provided for proper recreation organization.

Within the subsidiary contract the lighting network of "Maternity" park in Malatia-Sebastia district has been modernized.

To prevent further pollution of Yerevan Lake additional trash interceptors will be placed on the Hrazdan River. It was instructed to include the process of removal of accumulated garbage in the annual program of the Getar River cleaning so that the clean-up activities will be regular.

The competition for the design of the fountain complex to be constructed in currently neglected area in front of Gregory the Illuminator church has been held. The start of construction is scheduled for 2023. Different city structures are to be involved in the program to form an environment harmonizing with the area.

Branches of trees hindering the traffic and blocking the road signs are being trimmed. "Landscaping and Environment Protection" non-commercial company is informed about the locations and carries out the process.
