Crews of Il-38 anti-submarine aircraft of the Pacific Fleet's naval aviation unit deployed in Primorsky Krai have successfully practised tactical anti-submarine defence tasks.
In the course of the flights, the crews practised tactical techniques for searching, classifying and tracking enemy submarines using radar and sonar anti-submarine detection equipment.
The training flights were conducted as part of the scheduled combat training for the summer training period at the Peter the Great Gulf offshore training grounds. One of the project Warshavyanka submarines of the Northern Fleet acted as a potential adversary.
