Meridian to Host Fourth of July Celebration in Storey Park

MERIDIAN, ID - Food trucks, live music, family games and a professional fireworks display will highlight the City of Meridian's annual Fourth of July Celebration which will take place Monday, July 4, from 4:00-10:30 pm, in Storey Park, located at 205 E. Franklin Road.

The food trucks Rusty Dog, Tacos Y Tortas El Paco, and Daisy's Gelati & Frozen Custard will be on site beginning at 4:00 pm and the Billy Blues Band featuring Michele Eastland and Becky B will provide live music from 7:00 - 10:15 pm. The evening will culminate in a professional fireworks display shortly after dark, at approximately 10:20 p.m., made possible through a collaboration with Meridian Speedway. Attendees are encouraged to bring folding chairs, lawn blankets, and their own picnic items, but no personal fireworks are allowed in the park.

The professional fireworks display will be set off from the back (east side) of Meridian Speedway. Park roadways in that area will be closed to accommodate the fireworks safety zone and Storey Bark Park will close thirty minutes before dark on that evening. The limited parking within Storey Park will be reserved for ADA parking with use on a first-come first-served basis. There will be a passenger drop-off zone just inside the park's Franklin Road entrance.
