Ellis paced the Wolves (5-16, 3-12 PSAC E) with 22 points and tied for a team-high with four assists, Gianni Hill added 13 points and four assists, Yasmine Dorrielan scored 12 points, grabbed a team-high nine rebounds and five shots, while Octavia Hawkins accounted for 10 points including five points in overtime.
Lauren Lister led all scorers with 30 points and Janelle Robinson scored 14 points and grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds for the Marauders (11-10, 8-9 PSAC E).
The game was tied at 18-18 after the first quarter, the Marauders held a 30-26 edge at the half, the third period ended with the teams knotted at 45-45 and the fourth saw the game all square 61-61 and we needed an extra five minutes to decide the outcome.
Millersville quickly jumped out to a 65-61 advantage, but Ellis connected from downtown to cut the deficit to one, Lister answered with a layup to make a three-point contest, but Hawkins drained a triple to tie the game at 67-67.
Another Lister bucket was followed by three free-throws from Ellis to put Cheyney up 70-69 with 2:14 to play. Once again a Lister layup would give the Marauders a lead, but this time the Wolves could not respond as it sparked an 8-0 run that put the game away for Millersville.
There were 18 ties and 15 lead changes in the game, Ellis made three, three-pointers to push her career-total to 147.
Cheyney is back in action on Wednesday night as they host Bloomsburg in a key eastern division match-up with playoff implications for both squads. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 PM.
