A West Palm Beach man died overnight from injuries he received when he was struck by a car Tuesday morning.

According to West Palm Beach Police Department Traffic Homicide Unit investigators, Carlos Garcia, 69, was riding his bicycle southbound in the 7900 block of South Dixie Highway when, for reasons unknown, he turned into the path of a southbound Nissan Rogue driven by Strelita Seme, 30, of West Palm Beach, and was struck by the SUV.

West Palm Beach Fire Department rescue crews transported Garcia to St. Mary's Trauma Center in critical condition. Just after midnight August 3, Garcia died at the hospital. Seme was not injured in the crash.

Investigators believe alcohol or impairment was not a factor in the crash and no charges were filed. Investigators have not been able to locate any next of kin for Garcia. Anyone who has information about Garcia's relatives should call Traffic Homicide Investigator Dan Dillard at 561-822-1629.
