Welcome to our new K9s!
We officially welcomed our newest public safety team members: Wilbur and Scarlett.
Scarlett and Wilbur are both Labrador retrievers. Scarlett is 2-years-old and will be working with our Marshals. Wilbur is 18-months old, and will be working with our Las Vegas Fire & Rescue Bomb Squad.
Both Scarlett and Wilbur, and their handlers, recently completed an intensive 6-week, 240-hour, K9 training course where they got to know each other and practice the techniques they will use in the field.
They are specially trained in security checks, special events, investigations and more to help enhance public safety.
Wilbur is the very first K9 to join Las Vegas Fire & Rescue.
