CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- Clarke scored seven of the game's final eight points to turn a two-point deficit into a 94-90 win over the Mount Mercy men's basketball team in Monday's Heart of America Athletic Conference matchup at Hennessey Recreation Center.
The Mustangs (9-11, 4-10 Heart) have lost two in a row at home, both by four points, while the Pride (15-6, 11-4 Heart) extended their winning streak to five and moved to 11-1 over their last 12 games. Mount Mercy is at Grand View (5-14, 3-11 Heart) for a 7:30 p.m. tipoff on Thursday in Des Moines.
RoyShawn Webb (JR/Cedar Rapids, Iowa) and Streeter McIlravy (JR/Solon, Iowa) each knocked down five three-pointers while scoring 26 and 23 points, respectively. Webb also finished with six rebounds and a game-high six assists. BAiley Basala contributed 17 points and three steals, Dennis McKinney (JR/Chicago, Ill.) 16 points and seven boards. Davion Watson (SR/Champaign, Ill.) pulled down a team-best nine rebounds.
Keith Johnson made four treys while leading all scorers with 27 points. He grabbed seven rebounds and blocked a pair of shots as well. He was joined in double digits by Daruis Lasley with 23 points, Nick Marshall with 17, and Jordan Lake with 15. Lasley completed a double-double with 11 boards and Lake chipped in four assists.
