Planned outage for data centre move

Our corporate website and several of our granting portals and applications will be unavailable from Friday, June 28, 2024 at 4 p.m. (ET), until Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 8 a.m. (ET). The planned outage is due to the move of the data centre used by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC).

We expect all systems to be operational again on July 2 following the data centre move. In the unlikely event of an extended outage, we will post updates on this webpage and on our social media channels. Email and phone lines will not be affected by the move.

Systems that will be unavailable during the move:

  • NSERC website
  • SSHRC websites (including Canada Biomedical Research Fund, New Frontiers in Research Fund)
  • TIPS websites (Canada Excellence Research Chairs, Canada Research Chairs, Canada 150 Research Chairs, Canada First Research Excellence Fund, Research Support Fund)
  • SharePoint sites created for competitions or adjudication (Extranet, Influence, NSERC Collab, SSHRC Collab)
  • NSERC online, SSHRC online
  • Financial Data Submission and Reconciliation System
  • Matrix
  • Research Portal

Systems not affected by the move:

  • corporate email and phone lines
  • Canada Research Coordinating Committee (CRCC) website
  • Convergence grant application portal
  • social media channels

As a best practice, remember to keep a copy of your documents and grant application information in your personal files.
