Driscoll’s Weekly Update: Get Help via Technology, Credible Sources, Refunds, Commencement, and More

In his weekly message recorded on April 3, 2020, President Michael Driscoll urged students to stay connected-to their friends, via technology, and to continue to get help and support with all the things associated with being a college student. Ask for help, he said. All kinds of personnel are available to support students through technology.

He also suggested that rumors are a poor source of information and that credible sources like the Centers for Disease Control and the Pennsylvania Department of Health are the best ways to find out information about COVID-19 and how the illness is spreading. He reported the refunds are being issued and that commencement has been postponed. Details on both may be found at Coronavirus Information.

If you would like to assist students who have faced unexpected expenses, please give to the Emergency Response Fund.

Driscoll thanked all the IUP personnel who remain on campus, particularly because they are caring for the 40 or students who remain on campus.
