JUNE 23 - GORDITA CHRONICLES *Series Premiere*
  • The new HBO Max Original comedy series GORDITA CHRONICLES debuts its entire 10-episode first season on Thursday, June 23. The year is 1985 and Cucu "Gordita" Castelli (Olivia Goncalves) has just said goodbye to all of her friends and family in Santo Domingo, and moved to Miami with her marketing executive father Víctor (Juan Javier Cardenas), bold and vivacious mother Adela (Diana Maria Riva), and suddenly status-obsessed older sister Emilia (Savannah Nicole Ruiz). While life in America is far from what they imagined, the Castellis are determined to take charge of their strange new world. A uniquely funny, coming-of-age comedy, GORDITA CHRONICLES is about family, opportunity, love, resilience, and boldly defying the status quo in pursuit of the "American Dream." Eva Longoria directs the pilot and serves as executive producer for UnbeliEVAble Entertainment. Josh Berman executive produces alongside Jennifer Robinson and Chris King of Osprey Productions. Showrunner Brigitte Munoz-Liebowitz executive produces for Bons Mots Emporium. Zoe Saldana, Mariel Saldana, and Cisely Saldana are executive producers for Cinestar Pictures.
JUNE 24 - THE CHI *Season 5 Premiere*
  • In Season 5 of SHOWTIME's drama series THE CHI, from Emmy® winner Lena Waithe, and Academy Award® and Emmy winner, Common, Black love takes centre stage. Emmett and Tiff forge a new path in their relationship, as Tiff grows closer to Rob. Meanwhile, Kevin finds love where he least expects it, as Jake and Jemma navigate life as a couple. With his boys in relationships, Papa finds himself a bit on the outside looking in, but still knows how to get himself in trouble. Kiesha cares for baby Ronnie as Nina and Dre work together to support Lynae. Jada assesses her life post-cancer, and Trig considers a political run, even as Douda plots a comeback. The six-episode season premieres Friday, June 24, with subsequent episodes streaming Fridays.
JUNE 24 - THE DEANNE SMITH EXPERIENCE *Crave Original Stand-Up Special*
  • Crave's new batch of original stand-up specials continues to rollout with THE DEANNE SMITHEXPERIENCE. Filmed in front of a live audience during the 2021 Just For Laughs Festival in Montréal, and with five exes in the audience, DeAnne Smith talks dating, break-ups, 4,000 unread emails, and confronts their relationship history head-on.
JUNE 24 - DRIVE MY CAR *Movie Premiere*
  • Winner of Best International Film at the 94th OSCARS®, DRIVE MY CAR is an introspective Japanese drama film co-written and directed by Ryusuke Hamaguchi. Two years after his wife's unexpected death, Yusuke Kafuku (Hidetoshi Nishijima), a renowned stage actor and director, receives an offer to direct a production of Uncle Vanya at a theatre festival in Hiroshima. There, he meets Misaki Watari (Toko Miura), a taciturn young woman assigned by the festival to chauffeur him. As the production's premiere approaches, tensions mount amongst the cast and crew, not least between Yusuke and Koji Takatsuki, a handsome TV star who shares an unwelcome connection to Yusuke's late wife. The film had its world premiere at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival, where it competed for the Palme d'Or and won three awards, including Best Screenplay. The film streams Friday, June 24.
JUNE 24 - THE FRENCH DISPATCH *Movie Premiere*
  • Coined as Wes Anderson's "best film to date" by The New Yorker, THE FRENCH DISPATCH is based in the 1960s in the French city of Ennui-sur-Blasé, and journalists work for the American magazine The French Dispatch. Curmudgeonly editor Arthur Howitzer Jr. (Bill Murray) runs the magazine, which covers "world politics, the arts high and low, and diverse stories of human interest." Streaming Friday, June 24, the large ensemble cast includes Benicio del Toro, Adrien Brody, Timothée Chalamet, and more.
JUNE 24 - SING 2 *Movie Premiere*
  • A new chapter in Illumination's animated franchise arrives with big dreams and spectacular hit songs as the ever-optimistic koala, Buster Moon (Matthew McConaughey), and his all-star cast of performers prepare to launch their most dazzling stage extravaganza yet in the glittering entertainment capital of the world. There is just one hitch: they first have to persuade the world's most reclusive rock star - played by music icon Bono, in his animated film debut - to join them. SING 2 streams Friday, June 24.
JUNE 25 - DRAG RACE FRANCE *Series Premiere*
  • Hosted by RUPAUL'S DRAG RACE Season 12 star Nicky Doll, alongside actress Daphné Bürki and DJ Kiddy Smile, 10 fierce French queens compete for the title of France's First Drag Superstar in DRAG RACE FRANCE, premiering Saturday, June 25 at 3 p.m. ET in French and English. DRAG RACE FRANCE follows a weekly release schedule with new episodes dropping Saturdaysat 3 p.m. ET.
JUNE 26 - HBO's WESTWORLD *Season 4 Premiere*
  • HBO's Emmy-winning drama series WESTWORLD returns for its eight-episode fourth season, Sunday, June 26 at 9 p.m. ET. The one-hour drama is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness, and the birth of a new form of life on Earth. Season 3 took the A.I. uprising out of the robotic theme parks and into the real world, where android Dolores found herself in the crosshairs of Rehoboam, the world's most advanced A.I., secretly in place to impose order on human affairs by careful manipulation and prediction of the future. Returning cast includes Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton, Ed Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Tessa Thompson, Luke Hemsworth, Aaron Paul, and Angela Sarafyan. James Marsden also returns to the series as Teddy Flood. The series follows a weekly release schedule with new episodes dropping Sundays at 9 p.m. ET
JUNE 28 - HBO's ENDANGERED *Documentary Premiere*
  • Executive produced by Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Ronan Farrow, and an official selection of the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival, the HBO Original documentary ENDANGERED premieres Tuesday, June 28 at 9 p.m. ET. ENDANGERED chronicles a year in the life of four journalists living and working in democratic countries where freedom of the press has historically been considered a "given." Yet, as online misinformation proliferates and world leaders brazenly denigrate the press, distrust of traditional media is on the rise, and journalists are increasingly facing situations more typically encountered in war zones or autocratic states.
