Crews of the Iskander-M operational and tactical missile systems (OTMS) of the guards combined arms army of the Western Military District (WMD) have begun to march to the point of permanent deployment after the successful launch of missiles at the Zapad-2021 exercise at the Mulino training ground in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

The rocket men are marching in a combined way along federal roads and railways for a distance of more than 1000 kilometers to the Kursk region and will begin preparing and transferring weapons and military equipment for seasonal maintenance.

According to the results of the joint strategic Russian-Belarusian exercise Zapad-2021, the crews of the Iskander OTMS were rated excellent.

The practical actions of the troops (forces) within the framework of the JSE Zapad-2021 took place at five training grounds of the Republic of Belarus and at nine training grounds of the Russian Federation.
