AEM’s Wanda Sova Named to Milwaukee BizTimes 2021 List of Notable Executive Assistants

AEM's Wanda Sova has been named to the Milwaukee BizTimes 2021 list of Notable Executive Assistants.

A valued employee of AEM for 20 years, Sova joined a group of 21 individuals (including Mary Hensgen and Kristina Fowle of AEM member company Husco International) nominated by their peers and who the BizTimes honored as 'unsung heroes who keep their organizations running smoothly, playing a crucial role in the success of their companies and its leaders.'

'Wanda is the consummate professional, and she excels in everything she touches,' said AEM Vice President of Human Relations and Operations Judy Gaus. 'More than anything else though, Wanda always gives her best and projects a positive image of the association in support of AEM leaders, staff and members.'

A graduate of California State University, Sova's 20-year career at AEM has included working in several different roles: marketing/education assistant, education programs manager and her current position as executive assistant.

In her current role, Sova manages, develops and mentors the AEM administrative team that supports all areas of the association. In addition, she has played an integral role in developing and managing AEM's internship program, which has created a lasting talent pipeline for the organization. Sova also led internal teams focused on COVID-19 health and safety guidelines for AEM and office culture. Finally, she organizes the Investors Conference for CONEXPO-CON/AGG and is an integral member of AEM's Annual Conference planning team.
