Tender Results for the Import of Refined Products

On 31STof March, Sonangol launched a tender for the supply of diesel and gasoline, with the purpose of awarding contracts to future suppliers of each of the aforementioned products, for a period of 12 months.

In obedience to the chosen type for the tender, 27 companies were invited, including the current suppliers, as a guarantee of competitiveness under equal circumstances.

Observing the disclosed assumptions, the proposals were received until 6 pm on the 19th of April 2021 and the opening act was carried out on the 20th of April 2021.

There were received 9 proposals from the following companies: BP, Trafigura, Vitol, Gunvor, Idemitsu, Mercuria, Totsa, GALP and Gemcorp.

Among the offers, the best proposals were selected for the supply of each of the products and the others were excluded.

After the clarifications and negotiations phase with the chosen companies, an evaluation of the cost-effectiveness of the proposals was carried out, which resulted in the award of 2 contracts to 2 suppliers, namely, VITOL, for the supply of gasoline, and TOTSA, for the supply of diesel.

With the results achieved from this tender, the supply of diesel and gasoline for the next 12 months is ensured.
