Four CCCC projects win the ENR 2021 Global Projects Awards

Four CCCC projects have won the Engineering News-Record (ENR) 2021 Global Projects Awards, as announced by the magazine on Sep. 27. Thesecond phase of Pakistan's Karakorum Highway (KKH) project, linking Havelian and Thakot, was selected as global best Bridge/Tunnel project this year. The project, which came into service in February 2020, significantly improves the local traffic conditions and promotes the economic development along the line and in northern Pakistan.

Ghana Tema New Container Terminal Project, undertaken by CHEC, was honored as global best Airport/Port project this year. The project is believed to further enhance Tema Port's position as a hub port in West Africa, improve local people's living standard as well as boost the economic development of Ghana.

The 54.56-km-long Kigali Urban Road Upgrading Project undertaken by CCCC in Rwanda was chosen as global best road project this year. As an important part of the main road network in Kigali, the project has greatly improved local people's travel by slashing the commuting time.

The Ethiopian Addis Ababa riverside green development project contracted by CCCC was rated as global best Environmental project this year. The project will better local people's living environment, boost the country's tourism revenue, and boost its economic development.
