TRAFFIC ALERT: Discovery Street from Twin Oaks Valley Road to Rush Drive

Beginning Thursday, July 7, a 24-hour road closure along Discovery Street from Twin Oaks Valley Road and Rush Drive will take place to accommodate construction improvements related to the new Discovery Street Extension project. Construction work will take place Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., and the full road closure will take place all day.

Traffic will be diverted to Craven Road throughout the road closure and traffic control will be implemented on a continuous basis. Rush Drive between Craven Road and Discovery Street will be open and maintained to allow public access to Kaiser Permanente and the Campus Marketplace Shopping Center. Traffic delays are anticipated, and motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes or leave early to get to destinations on time. Flaggers may be posted as necessary to help facilitate traffic flow.

Public road access is anticipated to resume back to full use by July 22, approximately at the end of two weeks. Delays in the schedule may occur due to inclement weather conditions or other unforeseen conditions. Please be sure to follow all signage, detours and closures for the safety of everyone.
