Meg Schneider Joins ABI as Vice President, Strategic Initiatives and Member Engagement

The Iowa Association of Business and Industry (ABI) is pleased to announce Meg Schneider has been named Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and Member Engagement. Schneider's first day is Tuesday, April 23.

A successful association executive, Schneider joins ABI after more than two decades serving members of the Greater Des Moines Partnership, most recently as Senior Vice President for Business Resources and Community Development. Schneider, who holds a Bachelor of Liberal Studies from the University of Iowa and has certifications as a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and Institute for Organization Management (IOM) with the US Chamber of Commerce brings a diverse skill set to the state's oldest business organization.

"We are excited to welcome Meg to ABI. Meg's experience with the Partnership, her understanding of non-profit organizations and her engagement in the central Iowa region will be instrumental to ABI's continued success and vision for growth," said Mike Ralston, ABI President. "Further, her experience with serving members and collaborating with many different stakeholders, and her appreciation and long-time support for Iowa's business community makes her the right person to join our successful team."

"I have been a champion for Iowa Businesses for more than two decades, and I am excited to join the ABI team and continue that mission for its members," said Schneider. "I come to this position with personal experience of benefiting from ABI programming, so it will be a full circle moment for me as now I will be on the other side of the equation delivering impactful initiatives for businesses across our entire state."

Schneider's work will encompass both ABI and the workforce development and leadership programs of the ABI Foundation. She will be focused on maximizing existing partnerships and creating opportunities for members statewide.

Interviews are available upon request. Schneider can be reached via email at [email protected] or by calling 515.235.0569.
