Sixty-four inducted as McMurran Scholars

SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV - Shepherd University welcomed 64 new McMurran Scholars this year during the 63rd convocation on April 19. The McMurran Scholar Award is the highest academic honor granted by Shepherd.

Since 2008, the convocation has included the Last Lecture by a retired or retiring professor, sharing the wit and wisdom of the best in the higher education teaching profession. Dr. Colleen J. Nolan, retired professor of biology in the College of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Nursing, shared her thoughts.
