Arrest Made in August 11 Homicide in Mopac Expressway

Arrested: Arlun Raythunda Watford, Black male, age 28
UPDATE:
On September 17, 2021, the Gulf Coast Violent Offender Fugitive Task Force arrested Arlun Watford in Conroe, Texas for a 1st degree murder warrant issued by the Austin Police Homicide Unit. Watford is being held in the Montgomery County Jail on a $75,000 dollar bond.

The Austin Police Department (APD) has identified the deceased in the August 11 homicide in the 8100 block of N. Mopac as Delilah Guzman.
On Wednesday, August 11, 2021, 9-1-1 received a call from a female advising that somebody was breaking into her apartment and that she had been shot. APD officers and Austin-Travis County EMS arrived on scene and located a female subject unresponsive on the floor in her apartment. The victim appeared to have suffered a gunshot wound. Despite life-saving measures, the victim succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at 7:19 a.m. by Dr. Escott.
Homicide investigators and crime scene technicians responded to process the scene and interview witnesses.
On August 12, 2021, the Travis County Medical Examiner's office conducted an autopsy and ruled the cause of death as gunshot wound and the manner, homicide.
