Hunton Andrews Kurth Represents NewLake Capital Partners, Inc. in Initial Public Offering

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP represented NewLake Capital Partners, Inc., one of the cannabis industry's largest REITs, in its initial public offering. The IPO raised over $100 million for NewLake and closed on August 13, 2021. NewLake owns a geographically diversified portfolio consisting of 27 properties across ten states with eight tenants, comprised of 17 dispensaries and ten cultivation facilities.

The Hunton Andrews Kurth team representing NewLake was led by REIT capital markets partners Robert K. Smith and James V. Davidson, tax partner Kendal A. Sibley and capital markets associate Kathryn E. Saltz, with assistance from Matthew A. Hayes, Enyonam O-K Enninful, Alexa N. Williams, Sunyi Snow and Patrick C. Tricker. Hunton Andrews Kurth also represented NewLake in its merger with GreenAcreage Real Estate Corp., which closed in March 2021 and was led by M&A practice co-head Steven M. Haas.
