State Police in Rochester are looking for the driver of a vehicle fleeing during traffic stop in Irondequoit

On Friday night at approximately 9:15 p.m., the State Police stopped a vehicle for speeding on I-590 in Irondequoit. The operator refused to stop and a short pursuit was initiated. The operator of that vehicle stopped near 285 Shore Drive and fled on foot into a wooded area. Troopers chased the individual towards Irondequoit Bay and were unable to locate the individual. A passenger in the vehicle was taken into custody at that location.

Many resources were called in to assist with the search including the Monroe County Marine Patrol, State Police K-9 units, the State Police Scuba Unit and the State Police helicopter.
