The Golden Bears will be tested right off the bat, traveling to Penn State on Friday, Nov. 1, to face the Lady Lions out of the Big Ten in an exhibition at the Bryce Jordan Center. Less than 24 hours later, they'll be in the greater New York City area to challenge another DI opponent in Iona on Saturday, Nov. 2, at 2 p.m.
Including this year's exhibition slate, Kutztown will have played 10 games against DI competition since the 2013-14 season.
KU begins regular season play a week later at Lincoln (Pa.) University when it takes part in the CIAA/PSAC Challenge. Head coach 's squad will meet host Lincoln on Friday, Nov. 8, at 8 p.m., and match up with St. Augustine's on Saturday, Nov. 9, at 4 p.m.
Road contests at Holy Family (Nov. 13), Jefferson (Nov. 19), Clarion (Nov. 23) and Pitt-Johnstown (Nov. 24) greet the Bears before they finally make their home debut on the final day of November against Penn State Lehigh Valley at 1 p.m. That game kicks off a run of seven straight at Keystone Arena between Nov. 30 and Jan. 6, 2020.
PSAC play begins with the weekend road trip to Clarion and Pitt-Johnstown in late November, but the Golden Bears will get their shot at five conference foes, including Eastern Division rivals East Stroudsburg and Lock Haven, during its seven-game homestand. The PSAC home opener is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, against Gannon.
Once the calendar flips to 2020, 16 of Kutztown's final 17 regular season games are against PSAC East opponents, with the lone exception a Saturday, Jan. 11, trip to Mercyhurst.
Kutztown will be at home in the new year against East Stroudsburg (Jan. 3), Lock Haven (Jan. 6), Mansfield (Jan. 15), Bloomsburg (Jan. 29), Millersville (Feb. 5), Shepherd (Feb. 15), West Chester (Feb. 19) and concludes the regular season at home with Senior Day against Shippensburg on Feb. 29.
The Golden Bears will be looking to qualify for the PSAC Women's Basketball Tournament for the fourth consecutive year. The postseason begins with first round games on Monday, March 2. Quarterfinals are scheduled for Wednesday, March 4. The top remaining Western Division seed will host the semifinals and championship in 2020 after KU, the Eastern Division representative, hosted in 2019. The semifinals will take place on Saturday, March 7, with the championship to follow on Sunday, March 8.
