Multifunctional medical center in Novosibirsk is working at full capacity

A multifunctional medical center with 160 beds, built on the basis of 425 Military hospital in Novosibirsk, is working at full capacity to treat infectious patients.

'Currently, military personnel, veterans of the Armed Forces, and the civilian population who were admitted to the hospital with symptoms of colds, including coronavirus infection, are being treated in the multifunctional center,' said Lieutenant Colonel of the medical service Andrey Filvarkov.

Patients are monitored around the clock by qualified medical personnel who have undergone additional retraining, including for medical activities aimed at the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the new COVID-19 coronavirus infection.

Thanks to modern equipment: computer tomography, anesthesiology equipment, endoscopy, ultrasound devices, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation and a stock of medicines in the medical center, it is possible to treat not only infectious diseases, but also other therapeutic pathologies. The diagnostic capabilities of the medical center allow to conduct all the necessary examinations in the shortest possible time, while reducing the time for making a final diagnosis, developing treatment tactics for the patient and the time of his recovery.

As previously reported, the building of the medical center was built in record time - in 56 days. The total area of the building was more than 14,000 square meters. All wards of the medical institution are isolated, have special transfer boxes and a separate exit through the terrace.
