Russian servicemen in Tajikistan performed control shooting exercises

24.09.2021 (14:30)

Servicemen of motorized rifle and tank units of the 201st Russian military base stationed in Tajikistan performed exercises of control shooting from small arms, grenade launchers and combat vehicles.

Crews of T-72 tanks, BTR-82A armored personnel carriers and BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles fired at targets simulating ground and air targets at a range of up to 2 thousand meters. A target situation was created at the firing line, which provides for firing from all types of weapons of military equipment in all possible ways: on the move, from the spot, with short stops, from shelters and with a maneuver to a reserve position. Crews of RPG-7B grenade launchers monitored the target stop, identifying armored vehicles that were destroyed from the first shot. The live force of the mock enemy was hit by motorized infantry from AK-74M assault rifles, GP-25 grenade launchers and large-caliber machine guns of the NSV Utes.

Practical classes were held at once on two mountain ranges of Lyaur and Sambuli in the daytime and at night. More than 500 servicemen and about 80 units of weapons and military equipment of the Russian military base took part in them.
