State Secretary Brocková Receives Italian Ambassador to the Slovak Republic, Catherine Flumiani, on Her Initial Visit

On Wednesday, June 9, 2021, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Ingrid Brocková, received the Ambassador of the Italian Republic, Cathernine Flumiani, on the occasion of the commencement of her diplomatic mission in the Slovak Republic.

The discussion was dominated by the themes of economic cooperation, innovation, the space agenda, the European agenda, culture and education, as well as cooperation in international organizations, including the mutual support for candidacies, and the interest in strengthening bilateral strategic political dialogue. 'I very much welcome the open discussion with the Ambassador before my working visit to Italy at the end of June. With Italy we have friendly relations and intense cooperation in various sectors of the economy,' stated State Secretary Brocková. State Secretary Brocková and her Italian partner agreed that the current pandemic and post-pandemic recovery represent a unique opportunity for the further enhancement of the Slovak-Italian partnership.

The two partners confirmed their mutual interest in regular consultations and close cooperation.
