Annual Inspection on Kimball and National Street Bridges Will Occur This Saturday

Each year the City performs bridge inspections to determine the physical condition of bridges and culverts throughout the community. The information gathered is used to help determine bridge maintenance needs and replacement schedules in order to maintain safe, functional structures for the community.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024 staff from our consulting engineer HR Green will be performing bridge inspections on the Kimball Street Bridge and National Street Bridge. Due to the size of these structures, staff will use a truck-mounted inspection rig that will allow inspectors to view the underside of the bridge deck. To facilitate the inspection process, lane and sidewalk closures will be in effect from 8:00 am until the end of the day.

Both interior lanes on Kimball Street will remain open. National Street drivers should use the center lane. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to maintain the integrity of our bridges for the community's safety.
