Released: 10/22/2021 6:00:00 AM

On Tuesday, October 19, Dr. Jason Davies operated live out of the Gates Vascular Institute via telemedicine to the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) during the 2021 CNS Annual Meeting in Austin, TX. Dr. Elad Levy was in Austin to moderate the surgery.

During the surgery, Dr. Davies used a WEB™ intrasaccular embolization device with Walrus (balloon guide catheter) access to treat a patient with a brain aneurysm. Participants in the annual meeting had the opportunity to observe and ask questions.

Immediately following the interactive live broadcast, Dr. Levy and Dr. Leonardo Rangel-Castilla signed copies of their book Video Atlas of Neuroendovascular Procedures in front of the Live Surgery stage.

Dr. Davies, Dr. Levy and Dr. Adnan Siddiqui also presented during several of the meeting's symposia, sessions and seminars.

More than 2,000 of the country's neurosurgeons participate in the CNS Annual Meeting, with 500 tuning into the live surgery broadcasts.
