How to Use AI in Class

Over 50 participants attended the first course Edu4AI course, organised by the 'Instituto Tecnológico de Productos Infantiles y Ocio (AIJU), on artificial intelligence tools and practical examples based on projects that can be used in classrooms. The examples addressed vocal recognition, optical character recognition, vocal synthesis, image classification, the recognition of emotions, chatbots and programmable toys.

'This was the first of three scheduled workshops. So, stay tuned. We will hold the next in autumn 2021 and it will be organised by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.' Updates on the advancement of Project Edu4AI - Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to Foster 21st Century Skills in Secondary Education, implemented as part of the Erasmus+ Programme (Strategic Partnerships), are available on our newsletter distributed by our lead partner, In2 Digital Innovations GmbH.

The main work conducted during these initial six months has been concentrated on defining the pedagogic framework for AI learning:

  • Selection of appropriate pedagogic methodologies
  • Identification of good practices
  • Learning in children creating an AI app and/or intelligent objects.

This work will help us to identify a series of best practices to introduce AI to classrooms.
