TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Two-Day Lane Closure on Interstate 10 High-Rise for Streetlight Repairs

NEW ORLEANS - The City of New Orleans today announced that starting Saturday, April 27 at approximately 6 a.m., the Department of Public Works (DPW), in close coordination with the Louisiana Department of Transportation (LaDOTD), will perform a two-day closure on Interstate 10 High-Rise to accommodate streetlight repairs. This closure is necessary to facilitate repairs by DPW contractor All Star Electric.

Closure Schedules:

  • Saturday, April 27: 6 a.m. - 1 p.m.

    • I-10 Eastbound, left lane (from Louisa on-ramp to Downman Road Exit)

  • Sunday, April 28: 6 a.m. - 1 p.m.

    • I-10 Westbound, right lane (from Downman Road on-ramp to Louisa Exit)

Public safety is top priority. Appropriate signage will be deployed to safely guide motorists through the affected area during the closures.

This closure represents another milestone in the ongoing collaborative efforts between DPW and LaDOTD to systematically address streetlight repairs. By working together, both the City and State are dedicated to the successful implementation of these crucial improvements.
