Indianapolis, Ind. - Old National Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of Elio R. "Leo" Lopez to Community Lending Market Executive, Senior Vice President in Indianapolis. In his new role, Lopez will direct the formation of an expanded Community Lending Program to enhance lending strategies and access to capital with a focus on under-served communities. Lopez will report to Strategic Business Partnership Officer, Executive Vice President Roland Shelton.

Lopez began his banking career over 25 years ago and has been with Old National since 2019 serving as Government & Nonprofit Relationship Manager in its Minneapolis market. Prior to ONB, he served as Vice President at Bremer Bank specializing in banking nonprofit organizations and developing relationships with privately-held commercial industrial companies, including Small Business Administration (SBA) clients.

Lopez came to the United States from Mexico when he was 13 and went on to attend University of Minnesota. In 2017, he was selected for the Young American Leaders Program at Harvard Business School.

In the community, Lopez serves on the Board for Neighborhood House, a nonprofit that exists to help people gain the skills, knowledge and confidence to thrive in diverse communities. He is also board chair for the Latino Chamber of Commerce and is a motivational speaker through AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination), a public-school college readiness program.

"We are excited to have Leo Lopez join us in Indianapolis where he can utilize his extensive experience and relationship skills to lead Old National's lending strategies and participation in sustainable growth initiatives and community development projects," said Shelton.
