Lifted Precautionary Boil Water Notice: NE 26 Avenue & NE 26 Street

The City of Fort Lauderdale, as per Florida Administrative Code F.A.C. 62-555.340(5), is lifting effective immediately the precautionary boil water notice that was issued on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at 11 p.m. following planned maintenance repairs to the water distribution system for properties in the vicinity of NE 26 Avenue & NE 26 Street.

The repairs have been completed and bacteriological surveys show that the water is safe to drink.

The lift is in effect for the impacted properties highlighted in the map below.

Original Notice (Tuesday, June 21):

City of Fort Lauderdale crews will be performing planned maintenance to the water distribution system on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at 11 p.m. through Friday, June 24, 2022, at 5:30 a.m. The impacted properties are in the area of NE 26 Avenue & NE 26 Street. Neighbors in the vicinity may experience service interruptions and low water pressure while the work is taking place.

A precautionary boil water notice is being issued on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at 11 p.m. to the impacted properties highlighted in the map below.

The precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until drinking water test results pass for two consecutive days, as per Florida Administrative Code. The City will notify neighbors when the precautionary boil water notice has been lifted.

Neighbors are advised to boil all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. Bottled water may be used as an alternative.
