Location expands access to several bone and joint specialties, walk-in injury care
MCHENRY, Ill. (July 30, 2020) - OrthoIllinois, a leading bone and joint health care provider in northern Illinois, will expand access to several in-demand orthopedic specialties and walk-in injury care with the opening of its new McHenry Clinic, 4119 W. Shamrock Lane.
The clinic opens Monday, Aug. 3, offering rheumatology, nonoperative sports medicine, and physical therapy services. It will also have an Injury Express clinic with walk-in access for individuals needing to be seen for urgent orthopedic injuries and pain/discomfort. Additional X-ray and casting services will further help meet patients' needs at one location.
'We are thrilled to offer residents of the McHenry area closer access to quality orthopedic care,' OrthoIllinois CEO Don Schreiner said. 'Rheumatology is especially in high demand for this area, as is nonsurgical sports medicine and injury care, and rehabilitation. This new clinic will get patients the right care sooner and link them to our other subspecialized orthopedic physicians if needed.'
The McHenry Clinic is now accepting requests for early September rheumatology appointments with fellowship-trained specialist Dr. Jacqueline Kannan, who treats osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, lupus, and many other autoimmune disorders.
Sports medicine services with Dr. Pradeep Raju can help with injuries and pain affecting shoulders, hips and knees. Dr. Raju has longtime ties to the region: He grew up in Crystal Lake and his father was a well- known cardiologist in McHenry.
