Moonie Oil Field - EA Amendment Application

Bridgeport Energy Limited ("Bridgeport") have applied for an Environmental Authority (EA) amendment to allow the Moonie Oil Field Operation to inject up to 960,000 Tonnes of carbon dioxide (emissions captured from the Millmerran Power Station) into the depleting Moonie Oil Reservoir over an eight year period.

This Green House Gas (GHG) sequestration project is a forerunner and pathway towards a large scale "atmospheric carbon reduction" in Australia and enables Bridgeport time for the continued development of other "renewable-based power generating technologies" to mature.
