DOWASCO REMEMBERS ED’S CONTRIBUTION TO THE ORGANIZATION

As Dominica continues to mourn the loss of former Parliamentary Representative for the Grand Bay Constituency Hon Edward Registe, many who have worked with him says he will be dearly missed.

Before becoming the Parliamentary Representative for the Grand Bay Constituency in 2019, the late Hon Registe worked at the Dominica Water and Sewerage Company (DOWASCO) for many years as the Public Relations Officer.

Hon. Registe died on September one at the age of fifty. General Manager of DOWASCO, Mr. Bernard Ettinoffe says he had a good relation with the late Hon. Registe during his time at DOWASCO.

'Indeed you know, it was a great relationship and I think I worked with Mr. Registe here at DOWASCO being our Public Relations Officer. Very often we attended sessions together, he arranged meetings throughout Dominica on behalf of management, supported us fully in our public relations efforts at DOWASCO. He was a very friendly person, one who supported staff, customers, management. He was a good person to work with and he will be sadly missed,' Mr. Ettinoffe stated.

Mr. Ettinoffe says the news of the passing of the former Parliamentary Representative for the Grand Bay Constituency came as a shock to his staff.

'Many persons at DOWASCO are very, very sad at his passing. He was really loved at DOWASCO and he will be missed greatly,' Mr. Ettinoffe noted.

He extended condolences to the family and friends of Hon. Registe.

'It's really a sad moment for all of us. We want to extend our condolences to his family, his friends, and all of Grand Bay. I believe that Dominica has lost a great man and may his soul rest in peace,' Mr. Ettinoffe added.

On Saturday September 11, the Dominica Labour Party led by Prime Minister Hon. Roosevelt Skerrit held a tribute ceremony to honour the legacy of Hon. Edward Registe.
