Zhang Xiaolun, chairman of Sinomach and chairman of the Chinese side of the China-Ukraine Bilateral Entrepreneur Council, met with Lytvyn, executive chairman of the Ukrainian side of the council, and Luo Peng, consul general of Ukraine in Shanghai, in that city on Nov 5.
The two sides had a deep conversation on relevant issues such as further strengthening bilateral economic and trade cooperation, enhancing communication for female and young entrepreneurs, and promoting reciprocal visits between local professional delegations.
Zhang said that since the council was established it has made positive headway in expanding economic and trade cooperation. China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC), a subsidiary of Sinomach, has signed a number of cooperative projects with Ukraine in the fields of infrastructure construction, agriculture, energy and power.
Aimed at further reinforcing exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and Ukrainian business circles, the Chinese side of the council has set up a special working office to ensure smooth progress of its work. Zhang expressed his hope that through these efforts the council will play its due role in China-Ukraine cooperation and encourage more Chinese enterprises to invest and develop in Ukraine.
