Town of Hyde Park - West Dorsey Water Main Extension Project

Negative Declaration

Dutchess County - The Dutchess County Water & Wastewater Authority, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed West Dorsey Water Main Extension Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the extension of a water main and the creation of a new Zone of Assessment for the existing County-wide Water District. Currently, a 12 inch water main extends through the Bellefield hotel property to a terminal point and hydrant near the driveway entrance to the Bellefield hotel property off West Dorsey Lane. This hydrant represents the southernmost point in the Hyde Park Regional Water System. The Dutchess County Water and Wastewater Authority (DCWWA) would like to install an 8 inch, approximately 1,400 linear foot long new water main to the southern boundary of the gas station parcel (3694 Albany Post Road). The extended main could support eight additional parcels/customers along the project area from the Hyde Park Regional Water System, namely the properties at 3694, 3700, 3710, 3703, 3677 and 3726 Albany Post Road and the properties at 4 and 6 Old West Dorsey Lane in Hyde Park, New York. The work would be in the New York State Department of Transporation (NYS DOT) and Town of Hyde Park Right-of-Ways.
