BART trains to run until midnight on Sundays - As BART makes strides in its power cable replacement project, trains will run until midnight on Sundays again starting Feb. 14. American Canyon wrapping up ban on new gas stations - The American Canyon City Council for a year has considered banning new gas stations in the city. On Tuesday, it indicated it will approve the needed code revisions, with a second, final vote scheduled for Feb. 1. (Napa Valley Register)

Public invited to hear plans for saving state Highway 37 from sea level rise - With San Francisco Bay Area sea levels expected to rise two to five feet by the end of the century, it is predicted that most of state Route 37 will likely become permanently inundated by the mid-century or as soon as 2040, according to the California Department of Transportation, thus cutting off a major regional transportation route. Marin planners pivot to adapt to new state housing rules - The first proposals for development under Senate Bill 9 - the state's latest effort to boost housing in established neighborhoods - are arriving in Marin as cities and towns move swiftly to approve ordinances aimed at satisfying the new law. Not all Santa Clara County cities see new state housing law the same way - While cities have no choice but to implement [SB9], some are looking for ways to mitigate the impact. Lafayette's bars and nightclubs recently had their best month since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic - In November, 2021 bars and nightclubs made around $3.5 million - the most for a single month going back to December 2019.
