Long Beach, CA - This May, the City of Long Beach will once again celebrate National Bike Month, recognized nationwide annually to showcase the many benefits of bicycling, by offering several opportunities for residents to participate in all month long. Residents are encouraged to participate in bike-specific events like the Long Beach Loop Bike Ride, commute by bike using the dedicated bike-friendly infrastructure, or participate in a self-guided challenge such as the online24 for '24 Bike Month Challenge. Community members who participate in any Bike Month event, activity or online challenge throughout May will receive a commemorative 2024 Bike Month embroidered patch or vinyl sticker.

"Biking is a great way to get outdoors, be active and help the environment," said Mayor Rex Richardson. "I encourage folks to step outside of their comfort zones and explore all that Long Beach has to offer during National Bike Month."
