On March 28, the Mayor sent a letter to all Community Councils inviting them to submit their local priorities for future Anchorage capital projects through an online survey. The survey opened on April 15 and the deadline for Councils to complete it is June 15, 2024.

"The Community Council Survey is grassroots government at the core," said Assembly Chair Christopher Constant. "Community members are the eyes and ears on the ground - playing in the parks, walking on the sidewalks and driving on the roads. By providing real time input on through Community Councils, community members help the Municipality determine the most pressing needs for future improvements."

Assembly Vice Chair Meg Zaletel added, "I highly encourage Community Councils to discuss and prioritize the projects that are important in your neighborhoods and submit a response to the survey. Anchorage Assembly Members rely on these lists as we make budget decisions around which projects to submit for future bonds and state and federal capital requests."
