Medics of the Russian peacekeeping contingent carried out a set of preventive measures against COVID-19 in Nagorno-Karabakh

Specialists of the medical unit of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh carried out a set of preventive measures against the spread of the new coronavirus infection COVID-2019.

In the Russian peacekeeping contingent, the revaccination of peacekeepers with a two-component vaccine Gam-COVID-Vac (Sputnik V) continues as planned.

Before the injection of the domestic vaccine Sputnik V, servicemen undergo a medical examination with all the contraindications, restrictions and recommendations related to the introduction of the reintroduction of the first and second components.

First of all, medical workers, command personnel and duty units undergo revaccination, then the rest of the military.

In addition, thermometry points are deployed at observation posts and in subdivisions, and disinfection of the premises of block-modular towns is carried out.

The revaccination of servicemen is carried out in order to support them in the fulfillment of the tasks of the peacekeeping mission.

In accordance with the agreements specified in the joint statement of the President of the Russian Federation, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, from 00:00 (Moscow time) on November 10, 2020, a complete ceasefire and all hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh were announced.

To monitor the ceasefire and military operations, a peacekeeping contingent of the Russian Federation is being deployed in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone.
