The crews of the small artillery ships "Makhachkala" and "Astrakhan" of the Caspian Flotilla repelled the air attacks of a mock enemy during preparation for the Day of the Russian Navy.
The air defence of the ship is one of the episodes of the celebration on July 31.
The personnel of the radio-technical unit in the cooperation with artillery crews set up a false target using the ship's passive interference complex and activated electronic and visual means of disguise for disinformation of the enemy.
While repelling mock enemys air strike the gunners fired blank ammunition from 100-mm Universal cannons.
In total, about 40 warships, boats and support vessels of the Caspian Flotilla and about 20 units of combat and special vessels of the coastal troops will take part in the celebrations of the Day of the Navy.
