Traffic Safety Unit

At 9:38 pm Troopers arrested James E. Bergeron, age 44, of 11 Ellis Avenue 2nd Floor, Warren, Rhode Island for 1) Driving Under the Influence of an Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs - B.A.C. .15 or Greater - Second Offense (Phase I: .233, Phase II: .227) and 2) Driving with Suspended License - First Offense. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 195 East in the City of East Providence. Mr. Bergeron was transported to State Police Headquarters where he was processed and held overnight pending a morning arraignment in Sixth Division District Court where he will be presented as probation violator.

At 11:50 pm Troopers arrested Anthony Momplaisir, age 44, of 519A Dexter Street, Providence, Rhode Island for 1) Driving Under the Influence of an Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs - B.A.C. Unknown - Second Offense, 2) Driving with Suspended License - Third & Subsequent Offense and 3) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 146 South in the Town of Lincoln. Mr. Momplaisir was transported to State Police Headquarters, where he was processed and held overnight pending a morning arraignment at Third Division District Court where he will be presented as a probation violator.

At 1:15 am Troopers arrested Robert Anzalone, age 53, of 21 Essex Street, Bellingham, Massachusetts, for an active Affidavit and Arrest Warrant originating out of the Woonsocket Police Department on the original charges of Reckless Driving and Eluding. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 10 in the City of Providence. Mr. Anzalone was processed and turned over to the Woonsocket Police Department.
