Legislation to Provide Aid to Democratic Allies Heads to President's Desk
WASHINGTON, DC - Tonight, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) helped pass bipartisan legislation to provide aid to Ukraine and Israel, support Taiwan, and send humanitarian assistance to help civilians in Gaza. The package also includes Rosen-backed bipartisan legislation to hold Iran and its proxies accountable. It also provides additional funding for the Nonprofit Security Grant Program that helps protect vulnerable institutions like synagogues from violence at a time of rising antisemitism. This bipartisan aid package already passed the U.S. House of Representatives and now heads to the President's desk to be signed into law.
"With our adversaries on the march, we have democratic allies around the world that desperately need our help to defend themselves. I'm proud to have helped pass this bipartisan aid package that provides security assistance for Ukraine and Israel, protects Taiwan, delivers humanitarian assistance to civilians in Gaza, and strengthens America's defense industrial base," said Senator Rosen. "This bipartisan package also includes provisions I have championed to protect synagogues and other vulnerable Jewish institutions from violence at a time of rising antisemitism and hold Iran and its proxies accountable for their destabilizing actions."

Senator Rosen has been working to pass bipartisan legislation that provides much-needed assistance to Israel, Ukraine, and Taiwan. She has also been a leader in the push to increase funding for the Nonprofit Security Grant Program and help protect vulnerable institutions, like synagogues, from violence. In February, Senator Rosen also helped pass bipartisan legislation in the Senate, which was blocked by the House of Representatives, to provide security assistance to Ukraine and Israel, support Taiwan, and deliver humanitarian assistance to civilians in Gaza.
