Proclamation Ride, Words on Wheels will be part of National Bike Month

Friday, April 19 - The Bike Walk Hampton program will host two of its popular annual events as part of May's designation as National Bike Month.

On Wednesday, May 1, the Proclamation Ride - leaving City Hall at 6 p.m. - will offer a casual 5-mile trip through downtown. The pace is casual and the ride is expected to take about 45 minutes. City Hall is located at 22 Lincoln St.

On Sunday, May 19, Words on Wheels returns to the Sly Clyde Ciderworks in Phoebus. Teams will ride at their own pace and collect letters from participating businesses, and then return to Sly Clyde to make words - Scrabble-style - with the letters they have gathered.
