Wolesi Jirga discusses Logar's deadly attack and recent fire in Kabul city

The Lower House of Parliament on Monday's plenary session discussed on Logar's deadly attack and recent fire in Shakardara district north of Kabul province that dozens fuel tankers were burnt.

The session was held under the chairmanship of Mir Rahman Rahmani and continued by second deputy of Wolesi Jirga, Najibullah Naser.

Initially, people representatives strongly condemned deadly truck bombing attack close to guest house at Pul-e- Alam capital of Logar province that at least thirty innocent people were killed and dozens other were wounded, and the action of the enemy was called human crime, MPs asked government to recognize the perpetrators of the attack and bring them to justice .

Pointing on burning of fuel tankers at Shakardara district of Kabul province, MPs said, the last fire in Islam Qala Port and now in Kabul city is concealable and such the enemies' performance has harmed traders and flaying of the capital out of the country, they urged that government is responsible to take urgent measures for ensure and maintaining of security to people and investors.

At the meantime, legislators expressed their concerns over rise of Taliban's attack by withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan, adding now war is ongoing in Helmand, Ghazni, Herat, Ghor, Baghlan, Takhar and Nooristan provinces and people are faced with serious problems, so, we (the Nation House) asks government to take serious measures for decrease of war and insecurity in mentioned provinces.

Pointing on deadlock of peace process, MPs said, 'We (People representatives) asks the whole politicians to use incoming opportunity for ensuring of peace in the country and to create national consensus in order preparing of a comprehensive peace plan to president.

Criticizing on lack of good management in ministry of education, shortage of teachers and textbooks in Kabul city schools and provinces, incorrect behavior of the customs officials of Nimroz province against businessmen, illegal taking of tax by armed oppositions in Herat highways, insecurity in Northern highways, lack of coordination among the country's security forces, killing of former people representative from Takhar province in Wolesi Jirga, Piram Qul Ziayee, weakness of high council for national reconciliation, continuation of work contrary to law by supervisors , existence of widespread corruption in ATRA, illegal appointments of security officers in provinces and lack of executions for payment of rights for the heirs of martyrs were the issues discussed in today's session.

Pointing on premature withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan, the House Speaker said, war and violence has been intensified by Taliban since the beginning of the foreign troops withdrawal from Afghanistan, adding, now our brave security forces have taking responsibility of war against the enemies, we supports our security forces and we are optimistic for maintaining of the last two decades achievements by security forces.

Overall, Rahmani provided details about his visit with President Ghani, adding the main point of meeting was creating of national and political consensus, acceleration of peace process and obtaining of the support of the world countries.

'The Wolesi Jirga's specific stance was suggested in peace talks in the meeting with President, Rahmani added'.

In relation to deadly truck bombing attack in Pul-e- Alam capital of Logar province and latest fire in Shakardara district of Kabul province and insecurity in Nooristan and Ghanzi provinces, Rahmani instructed to domestic security commission, to discuss on aforementioned issues with the coordination of related security officials and result of that should be presented in plenary session.

Illegal hiring in ministry of education, beating of demonstrators by governor in Ghor province , killing of former people representative in Wolesi Jirga from Takhar province and Simin Barekzai's sister, Rahmani instructed to exclusive commissions to discuss the mentioned issues with related officials.

In accordance to agenda, the country's top security officials were questioned in today's session in order to provide information about the country's security condition and withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan, but, due to some logical reasons they were not attended in today's session.

Overall in todays, session, a declaration in relation to peace process and withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan was readout by lawmaker Abdul Qayum Sajadi.

At the end of the session, the Afghanistan People Parliamentary Group announced its existence by lawmaker Khadija Ehlam.
