After working on DR 981 in Jully-les-Buxy (71) in 2016, our Bourgogne- Franche-Comté teams have put their experience to good use again with the Recyclean process which involves reprocessing materials from the worn-out road pavement which may contain high concentrations of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.
The ARC 1000 reprocessing workshop is specially designed to protect employees and local residents in urban areas during the works phase, and also limits the use of new mineral resources, thus ensuring effective control of environmental issues.
It only took two weeks to completely restructure this major artery, which is subject to heavy traffic.
The operation also provided the opportunity to test a new anti-reflective cracking system on a 150 m trial stretch with the application of a glass grid between the road-binder processed levelling course and the asphalt concrete surface course. This experiment is to be followed at a later date by a technical protocol binding both parties which will be signed with the Department.
